Welcome!
The mission of Alaska State Horse Shows is to promote and protect the integrity
of all equestrian sport disciplines and safeguard the well-being of our horses
throughout the State of Alaska by....
-
Supporting and encouraging existing and new competitions at all levels,
both rated and non-rated.
-
Sponsoring a year-end awards and recognition program for ASH members to
encourage participation in shows at all levels.
-
Providing educational opportunities related to equestrian competition and
horse welfare for our members which include riders, owners, trainers,
show management, officials and parents.
-
Promoting fairness in competitions.
-
Supporting and participating in other regional and national organizations with
goals similar to our own.
ASH shows recognize several divisions in multiple disciplines including,
Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, Western, Gymkhana, Halter, Western and Driving that allow riders
and horses to earn points towards our year-end awards. In the past few years, recognized
shows have offered only Hunter/Jumper and Dressage, but if a show offers the divisions,
the ASH division awards are in place. We hold a banquet that is known for great prizes
and a fantastic evening!
Our board is made of 7 members who serve 3 year terms. Volunteers include professionals,
adult amateurs, dedicated parents, as well as 2 junior board members who serve 1 year terms.
